Moreover, your book will also be available online at more than 1,000 Internet bookstores (e.g., libri.de, amazon.de and sbz.ch). In other words, readers can pick up your book either directly at a bookstore or even order it on the Internet and have it shipped right to their door.

Yes, BoD gives every title an ISBN free of charge (except for BoD Fun). The ISBN (International Standard Book Number) allows all booksellers and readers to clearly identify and order your book. BoD issues the numbers to its authors free of charge and reports the ISBN to the German BIP. The title can therefore be ordered directly from all bookstores in Germany, plus in the most important English-language book markets and at amazon.com. When an author uses a free ISBN from BoD, he or she is obligated to name BoD as the publisher on the copyright page. An author, on the other hand, may also use his or her own ISBN of course, which can be acquired directly from the ISBN agency. In this case the name of the author’s or publisher’s own publishing house must be entered, along with the publisher’s place of business as place of publication.
