Types of binding

Paperback:

The colour paperback cover made of flexible 250-g cardboard is coated with a glossy, textured or plain protective laminate, as you prefer. Processing is done as hot adhesive binding with side gluing.

Laminated hardcover:

The book cover is coated with coloured Efalin paper (laminated). Black-and-white headbands are put on the inside of the spine. Plain, glossy or, optionally, textured surface finish protects the cover against wear and stains. In addition, you may choose between straight (right) and round spine including a ribbon page marker (left). The binding is carried out as dispersion adhesive binding.

Case for hardcovers with dust jacket:

The Efalin paper is available in five colours.

Booklets:

A brochure with spiral binding is called a booklet. These little books offer all authors the opportunity of publishing a manuscript of even less than 52 pages (the minimum length for adhesive binding) – in A4 or A5 format, with black-and-white or full-colour printing. If individual colours pages are to be placed inside the book block, the entire booklet is printed in colour mode and charged accordingly (black-and-white pages may of course also be included). Please note: If you use this binding, pictures may not be printed as bleeds.
